These metal belt buckles are designed to be covered with tooled leather but most of our customers cover them with beadwork or quillwork. The surface is slightly convex (it curves outward). The backside of the buckle features a crossbar to secure the buckle to the belt and a post to fasten the belt.

There are a variety of techniques for attaching beadwork to these buckle blanks. We most commonly see people attach their beadwork to a piece of leather and cover the belt buckle with the leather. Leather can be glued to the metal or the edges can be sewn to each other on the backside. There are pros and cons to either technique and it’s worth experimenting to see what will work best for you.

Small Rectangle belt buckle measures 4 inches by 2 9/16 inches.

Sold individually. Made in India.
