Nekiijig is a line of jewelry and beadwork designed for indigenous professionals. Nekiijig means the ones who work in Anishinaabemowin. This line incorporates subtle color palettes into contemporary American Indian jewelry, allowing the wearer to declare indigenous pride and identity in council chambers, courtrooms, and board rooms. Pieces incorporate one of four color schemes – aki (earth), nibi (water), ishkode (fire), or waaskone (flower). Nekiijig jewelry pieces are a versatile addition to any professional wardrobe.
